Related Product Information for TGFB2 recombinant protein
Background: TGF beta 2 (Transforming growth factor beta 2), an extracellular glycosylated protein, which belongs to the TGF-beta family. TGF-beta regulates key mechanisms of tumor development, namely immunosuppression, metastasis, angiogenesis, and proliferation. TGF beta 2 suppression is a promising therapeutic approach for malignant tumor therapy. The signaling pathway of TGF beta 2/Smad plays an important role in the pathological process in posterior capsule opacification (PCO) after cataract surgery. Silencing Smad2 and Smad3 efficiently blocked the effect of TGF beta 2 on cell proliferation, migration, and extracellular matrix production. TGF beta 2 activation of MEKK3/ERK1/2/5 signaling modulates Has2 expression and hyaluronan (HA) production leading to the induction of epithelial to mesenchymal transformation (EMT) events. Besides, the upregulation of the TGF beta 2 level is a common pathological feature of Alzheimer's disease (AD) brains and suggests that it may be closely linked to the development of neuronal death related to AD.

Uniprot Description

TGFB2: TGF-beta 2 has suppressive effects on interleukin-2 dependent T-cell growth. Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Heterodimers with TGFB1 and with TGFB3 have been found in bone. Interacts with the serine proteases, HTRA1 and HTRA3. Interacts with ASPN. Belongs to the TGF-beta family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The TGFB2 tgfb2 (Catalog #AAA8122567) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Ser41 4. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TGF beta 2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
