Uniprot Description

Serum albumin, the main protein of plasma, has a good binding capacity for water, Ca2+, Na+, K+, fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin and drugs. Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood. Major zinc transporter in plasma, typically binds about 80% of all plasma zinc.CautionA peptide arising from positions 165 to 173 was originally termed neurotensin-related peptide (NRP) and was thought to regulate fat digestion, lipid absorption, and blood flow.

Product Notes

The TF alb (Catalog #AAA850374) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Transferrin Antibody reacts with Cow and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Transferrin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TF alb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Transferrin, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
