Related Product Information for TCL1A recombinant protein
TCL1A, also known as T-cell leukemia/lymphoma 1A, is a protein with a suggested role in intracellular regulation of T cell signaling. TCL1A binds to the pleckstrin homology domain of Akt (protein kinase B) family proteins, which facilitates Akt dimerization and activity. By increasing Akt activity TCL1A may enhance the serine/threonine phosphorylation of major Akt signaling substrates, such as Ikk complex, mTOR, BAD, p70S6 kinase, FOXO transcription factors, and GSK3b. These substrates regulate cellular differentiation, growth, survival, and metabolism. Recombinant TCL1A protein was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques

NCBI Description

Overexpression of the TCL1 gene in humans has been implicated in the development of mature T cell leukemia, in which chromosomal rearrangements bring the TCL1 gene in close proximity to the T-cell antigen receptor (TCR)-alpha (MIM 186880) or TCR-beta (MIM 186930) regulatory elements (summarized by Virgilio et al., 1998 [PubMed 9520462]). In normal T cells TCL1 is expressed in CD4-/CD8- cells, but not in cells at later stages of differentiation. TCL1 functions as a coactivator of the cell survival kinase AKT (MIM 164730) (Laine et al., 2000 [PubMed 10983986]).[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2010]

Uniprot Description

Enhances the phosphorylation and activation of AKT1, AKT2 and AKT3. Promotes nuclear translocation of AKT1. Enhances cell proliferation, stabilizes mitochondrial membrane potential and promotes cell survival.

Product Notes

The TCL1A tcl1a (Catalog #AAA203392) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's TCL1A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TCL1A tcl1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MAECPTLGEA VTDHPDRLWA WEKFVYLDEK QHAWLPLTIE IKDRLQLRVL LRREDVVLGR PMTPTQIGPS LLPIMWQLYP DGRYRSSDSS FWRLVYHIKI DGVEDMLLEL LPDD. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TCL1A, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
