NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
small GTPase; involved in formation of cellular asymmetry [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
CDC42: a small GTPase of the Rho-subfamily, which regulates signaling pathways that control diverse cellular functions including cell morphology, migration, endocytosis and cell cycle progression. Causes the formation of thin, actin-rich surface projections called filopodia. The oncoprotein Dbl specifically catalyzes the dissociation of GDP from this protein. Regulate actin polymerization through its direct binding to Neural Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein (N-WASP), which subsequently activates Arp2/3 complex. Interacts with DOCK9 which activates it by exchanging GDP for GTP. Interacts with PARD6A, PARD6B and PARD6G in a GTP-dependent manner. Part of a complex with PARD3, PARD6A or PARD6B and PRKCI or PRKCZ. Interacts with CDC42EP4.Alternative splicing of this gene results in at least two transcript variants.

Product Notes
The CDC42 cdc42 (Catalog #AAA8202450) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CDC42 siRNA (Rat) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CDC42 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDC42 cdc42 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CDC42, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
