CAND1 sirna
CAND1 siRNA (Rat)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
interacts with TATA-binding protein and may be involved in transcription regulation [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
CAND1: Enhances transcription from various types of promoters. Regulatory protein that interferes with the assembly of the SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) ubiquitin ligase complex and thereby down-regulates ubiquitination of target proteins. Prevents neddylation of CUL1 by physically blocking access to the neddylation site. Disrupts interactions between CUL1 and SKP1 and between CUL1 and F-box proteins. Binds TBP. Part of a complex that contains CUL1 and RBX1. Binds unneddylated CUL1, but cannot bind CUL1 once it has been neddylated. Binds CUL2, CUL3, CUL4A, CUL4B and CUL5. Belongs to the CAND family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Ubiquitin conjugating system; Transcription factor
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cullin-RING ubiquitin ligase complex; membrane; cytoplasm; nucleus; ubiquitin ligase complex
Molecular Function: TATA-binding protein binding

Product Notes
The CAND1 cand1 (Catalog #AAA8214432) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CAND1 siRNA (Rat) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CAND1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CAND1 cand1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CAND1, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
