MICAL3 sirna
MICAL3 siRNA (Human)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
MICAL3: a monooxygenase that promotes depolymerization of F-actin by mediating oxidation of specific methionine residues on actin. Acts by modifying actin subunits through the addition of oxygen to form methionine-sulfoxide, leading to promote actin filament severing and prevent repolymerization. Involved in exocytic vesicles tethering and fusion: the monooxygenase activity is required for this process. Interacts with RAB1B. Interacts with ERC1 and RAB8A. Five human isoforms are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Oxidoreductase; EC 1.14.13.-
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 22q11.21
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cytoskeleton; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; nucleus
Molecular Function: oxidoreductase activity, acting on paired donors, with incorporation or reduction of molecular oxygen, NADH or NADPH as one donor, and incorporation of one atom of oxygen; zinc ion binding; actin binding; Rab GTPase binding
Biological Process: actin filament depolymerization; exocytosis; cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis

Product Notes
The MICAL3 mical3 (Catalog #AAA8222967) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MICAL3 siRNA (Human) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MICAL3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MICAL3 mical3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MICAL3, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
