NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene shares similarity with Saccharomyces cerevisiae Rad52, a protein important for DNA double-strand break repair and homologous recombination. This gene product was shown to bind single-stranded DNA ends, and mediate the DNA-DNA interaction necessary for the annealing of complementary DNA strands. It was also found to interact with DNA recombination protein RAD51, which suggested its role in RAD51 related DNA recombination and repair. A pseudogene of this gene is present on chromosome 2. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Additional alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but their full-length nature is not known. Product Notes

The RAD52 rad52 (Catalog #AAA822388) is a Blocking Peptide produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RAD52 (pY104) Blocking Peptide reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Bovine, Monkey, Pig and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RAD52 (pY104) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). Blocking Peptide to the diluted primary antibody in a molar ratio of 10:1 (peptide to antibody) and incubate the mixture at 4 degree C for overnight or at room temperature for 2 hours. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RAD52 rad52 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RAD52 (pY104), Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
