Related Product Information for STX4 recombinant protein
Syntaxin 4, also known as STX4, belongs to thesyntaxin/epimorphin family of proteins. Syntaxin family is cellular receptors for transport vesicles which participate in exocytosis in neutrophils. Syntaxin 4 is crucial for normal insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in skeletal muscle and decreases in Syntaxin 4 protein levels result in reduction of whole-body insulin-stimulated glucose metabolism. Recombinant human STX4 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Uniprot Description

Plasma membrane t-SNARE that mediates docking of transport vesicles. Necessary for the translocation of SLC2A4 from intracellular vesicles to the plasma membrane. Together with STXB3 and VAMP2, may also play a role in docking/fusion of intracellular GLUT4-containing vesicles with the cell surface in adipocytes (). May also play a role in docking of synaptic vesicles at presynaptic active zones.

Product Notes

The STX4 stx4 (Catalog #AAA204640) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's STX4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STX4 stx4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSHMMRDRT HELRQGDDSS DEEDKERVAL VVHPGTARLG SPDEEFFHKV RTIRQTIVKL GNKVQELEKQ QVTILATPLP EESMKQELQN LRDEIKQLGR EIRLQLKAIE PQKEEADENY NSVNTRMRKT QHGVLSQQFV ELINKCNSMQ SEYREKNVER IRRQLKITNA GMVSDEELEQ MLDSGQSEVF VSNILKDTQV TRQALNEISA RHSEIQQLER SIRELHDIFT FLATEVEMQG EMINRIEKNI LSSADYVERG QEHVKTALEN QKKARKKKVL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "STX4, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
