Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Human
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human STIP1 and analogues was observed.
Sequence Length
543
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
3.12ng/ml-100ng/ml.
Sensitivity
1.0ng/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated STIP1 concentrations in Human serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Human STIP1 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add STIP1 and STIP1 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of STIP1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

STIP1 is an adaptor protein that coordinates the functions of HSP70 (see HSPA1A; MIM 140550) and HSP90 (see HSP90AA1; MIM 140571) in protein folding. It is thought to assist in the transfer of proteins from HSP70 to HSP90 by binding both HSP90 and substrate-bound HSP70. STIP1 also stimulates the ATPase activity of HSP70 and inhibits the ATPase activity of HSP90, suggesting that it regulates both the conformations and ATPase cycles of these chaperones (Song and Masison, 2005 [PubMed 16100115]).[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2009]

Uniprot Description

STI1: a protein that is apparently involved in the response to stress. Specifically interacts with the C-terminal tails of Hsp70 and Hsp90 via TPR1 and TPR2A domains. Deletion of STI1 reduces the activity of the glucocorticoid receptor, a Hsp90 target protein. Phosphorylated in vitro by p90RSK and casein kinase II.

Protein type: Chaperone

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11q13

Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding

Biological Process: response to stress

Product Notes

The Human STIP1 stip1 (Catalog #AAA095979) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA095979 ELISA Kit recognizes Human STIP1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Stress Induced Phosphoprotein 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
