Somatostatin receptor type 1 (Sstr1) Recombinant Protein | Sstr1 recombinant protein
Recombinant Rat Somatostatin receptor type 1 (Sstr1)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
receptor for somatostatin; may play a role in thymocyte cell proliferation and differentiation [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
SSTR1: Receptor for somatostatin with higher affinity for somatostatin-14 than -28. This receptor is coupled via pertussis toxin sensitive G proteins to inhibition of adenylyl cyclase. In addition it stimulates phosphotyrosine phosphatase and Na(+)/H(+) exchanger via pertussis toxin insensitive G proteins. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Interacts with SKB1.
Protein type: Cell cycle regulation; Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR
Cellular Component: neuron projection; membrane; integral to plasma membrane; cytoplasm; plasma membrane
Molecular Function: neuropeptide binding; somatostatin receptor activity
Biological Process: response to starvation; negative regulation of cell proliferation; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; synaptic transmission; G-protein signaling, coupled to cyclic nucleotide second messenger; neuropeptide signaling pathway; glutamate signaling pathway; forebrain development; cerebellum development; spermatogenesis; T cell differentiation

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Somatostatin receptor type 1 (Sstr1), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
