The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Principle of the Assay: YWHAS ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-YWHAS antibody and an YWHAS-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with YWHAS-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the YWHAS concentration since YWHAS from samples and YWHAS-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-YWHAS antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by YWHAS from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind YWHAS-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The YWHAS concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a cell cycle checkpoint protein. The encoded protein binds to translation and initiation factors and functions as a regulator of mitotic translation. In response to DNA damage this protein plays a role in preventing DNA errors during mitosis. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2017]
Uniprot Description
Adapter protein implicated in the regulation of a large spectrum of both general and specialized signaling pathways. Binds to a large number of partners, usually by recognition of a phosphoserine or phosphothreonine motif. Binding generally results in the modulation of the activity of the binding partner. When bound to KRT17, regulates protein synthesis and epithelial cell growth by stimulating Akt/mTOR pathway. May also regulate MDM2 autoubiquitination and degradation and thereby activate p53/TP53.

Product Notes
The Sheep SFN sfn (Catalog #AAA7266483) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7266483 ELISA Kit recognizes Sheep SFN. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "14-3-3 Protein sigma, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
