Directions for use
Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentratration less then 100 ug/mL. Dissolvethe lyophilized protein in ddH2O. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minmimize free-thaw cycles.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20 degree C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 2-8 degree C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at -20 degree C for 3 months.

Uniprot Description

SELP: Ca(2+)-dependent receptor for myeloid cells that binds to carbohydrates on neutrophils and monocytes. Mediates the interaction of activated endothelial cells or platelets with leukocytes. The ligand recognized is sialyl-Lewis X. Mediates rapid rolling of leukocyte rolling over vascular surfaces during the initial steps in inflammation through interaction with PSGL1. Defects in SELP may be a cause of susceptibility to ischemic stroke (ISCHSTR); also known as cerebrovascular accident or cerebral infarction. A stroke is an acute neurologic event leading to death of neural tissue of the brain and resulting in loss of motor, sensory and/or cognitive function. Ischemic strokes, resulting from vascular occlusion, is considered to be a highly complex disease consisting of a group of heterogeneous disorders with multiple genetic and environmental risk factors. Belongs to the selectin/LECAM family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Cell adhesion

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; extracellular space; platelet alpha granule membrane; membrane; cytoplasm; integral to membrane; external side of plasma membrane

Molecular Function: heparin binding; protein binding; lipopolysaccharide binding; carbohydrate binding; glycoprotein binding; calcium-dependent protein binding; sialic acid binding; fucose binding

Biological Process: heterophilic cell adhesion; positive regulation of phosphoinositide 3-kinase cascade; cell-cell adhesion; leukocyte adhesion; positive regulation of cell adhesion; regulation of integrin activation; positive regulation of leukocyte migration; regulation of cellular extravasation; blood vessel morphogenesis; cell adhesion; leukocyte tethering or rolling; inflammatory response; leukocyte migration

Product Notes

The CD62P selp (Catalog #AAA8305211) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Recombinant Mouse CD62P Protein reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD62P can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), SDS-PAGE, MS. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD62P selp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: WTYNYSTKAY SWNNSRVFCR RHFTDLVAIQ NKNEIAHLND VIPFFNSYYW IGIRKINNKW TWVGTNKTLT EEAENWADNE PNNKKNNQDC VEIYIKSNSA PGKWNDEPCF KRKRALCYTA SCQDMSCSNQ GECIETIGSY TCSCYPGFYG PECEYVKECG KVNIPQHVLM NCSHPLGEFS FNSQCTFSCA EGYELDGPGE LQCLASGIWT NNPPKCDAVQ CQSLEAPPHG TMACMHPIAA FAYDSSCKFE CQPGYRARGS NTLHCTGSGQ WSEPLPTCEA IACEPPEIPI HGSMDCVPST GTFGYNSSCT FLCAEGFVLK GNDAIQCADS GQWTAPAPFC EALQCPEFPV PSKAQVNCSD PFGTLTYQSV CSFSCDEGSL LVGASVIRCL ATGHWNGAPP ECQAVSCAPM LSPENGSMTC VQPLGNSTYK STCQFMCDEG FYLSGPERLD CSPSGHWTGT PPTCEAIKCP GIFAPEQGNL DCSHVHGEFG VGSICHFSCN EDFELLGSEN VECTVSGRWS APPPTCKGIT SLPAPAVRCP ALTTPGQGTM SCQHHLGSFG PNTTCYFGCK TGFTLRGANS LRCRASGQWT AVTPMCRAVK CSELHMDTAV AMNCSNPWGN FSYGSTCTFQ CPEGQSLNGS VRATCREDGH WSDAMPTCQA GTLTIQEADI EGRMDEPKSC DKTHTCPPCP APELLGGPSV FLFPPKPKDT LMISRTPEVT CVVVDVSHED PEVKFNWYVD GVEVHNAKTK PREEQYNSTY RVVSVLTVLH QDWLNGKEYK CKVSNKALPA PIEKTISKAK GQPREPQVYT LPPSREEMTK NQVSLTCLVK GFYPSDIAVE WESNGQPENN YKTTPPVLDS DGSFFLYSKL TVDKSRWQQG NVFSCSVMHE ALHNHYTQKS LSLSPGK. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD62P, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
