Uncharacterized protein yfjN (yfjN) Recombinant Protein | yfjN recombinant protein
Recombinant Escherichia coli Uncharacterized protein yfjN (yfjN)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
RnlA is responsible for the rapid degradation of T4 late genes in T4 dmd mutants. [More information is available at EcoGene: EG13200]. RNase LS is an endoribonuclease that cleaves bacteriophage T4 late mRNA in dmd mutant strains . [More information is available at EcoCyc: G7365].
Uniprot Description
Toxic component of a type II toxin-antitoxin (TA) system (PubMed:20980243, PubMed:24112600). A stable (half-life 27.6 minutes) endoribonuclease that in the absence of cognate antitoxin RnlB causes generalized RNA degradation. Degrades late enterobacteria phage T4 mRNAs, protecting the host against T4 reproduction. Activity is inhibited by cognate antitoxin RnlB and by enterobacteria phage T4 protein Dmd (PubMed:20980243, PubMed:22403819). Targets cyaA mRNA (PubMed:19019153).

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Uncharacterized protein yfjN (yfjN), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
