Uniprot Description

RNF169: Probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that acts as a negative regulator of double-strand breaks (DSBs) repair following DNA damage. Recruited to DSB repair sites by recognizing and binding ubiquitin catalyzed by RNF168 and competes with TP53BP1 and BRCA1 for association with RNF168-modified chromatin, thereby acting as a negative regulator of DSBs repair. E3 ubiquitin- protein ligase activity is not required for regulation of DSBs repair. Belongs to the RNF169 family.

Protein type: EC 6.3.2.-; Ubiquitin conjugating system

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11q13.4

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: zinc ion binding; nucleosome binding; ligase activity

Biological Process: protein ubiquitination; response to DNA damage stimulus

Product Notes

The Human RNF169 rnf169 (Catalog #AAA9331589) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9331589 ELISA Kit recognizes Human RNF169. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ring finger protein 169, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
