Related Product Information for RHOA recombinant protein
RhoA belongs to the small GTPase superfamily, Rho family, proteins involved in the regulation and timing of cell division. This protein is a small GTPase protein to regulate the actin cytoskeleton in the formation of stress fibers and acts upon two known effector proteins: ROCK1 (Rho-associated, coiled-coil containing protein kinase 1) and DIAPH1 (diaphanous homolog 1 (Drosophila). Recombinant human RhoA protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the Rho family of small GTPases, which cycle between inactive GDP-bound and active GTP-bound states and function as molecular switches in signal transduction cascades. Rho proteins promote reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and regulate cell shape, attachment, and motility. Overexpression of this gene is associated with tumor cell proliferation and metastasis. Multiple alternatively spliced variants have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]

Uniprot Description

Regulates a signal transduction pathway linking plasma membrane receptors to the assembly of focal adhesions and actin stress fibers. Involved in a microtubule-dependent signal that is required for the myosin contractile ring formation during cell cycle cytokinesis. Plays an essential role in cleavage furrow formation. Required for the apical junction formation of keratinocyte cell-cell adhesion. Stimulates PKN2 kinase activity. May be an activator of PLCE1. Activated by ARHGEF2, which promotes the exchange of GDP for GTP. Essential for the SPATA13-mediated regulation of cell migration and adhesion assembly and disassembly. The MEMO1-RHOA-DIAPH1 signaling pathway plays an important role in ERBB2-dependent stabilization of microtubules at the cell cortex. It controls the localization of APC and CLASP2 to the cell membrane, via the regulation of GSK3B activity. In turn, membrane-bound APC allows the localization of the MACF1 to the cell membrane, which is required for microtubule capture and stabilization. Regulates KCNA2 potassium channel activity by reducing its location at the cell surface in response to CHRM1 activation; promotes KCNA2 endocytosis (PubMed:9635436, PubMed:19403695).

Product Notes

The RHOA rhoa (Catalog #AAA203815) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's RHOA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RHOA rhoa for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: < MRGSHHHHHH GMASMTGGQQ MGRDLYDDDD KDRWGSHMAA IRKKLVIVGD GACGKTCLLI VFSKDQFPEV YVPTVFENYV ADIEVDGKQV ELALWDTAGQ EDYDRLRPLS YPDTDVILMC FSIDSPDSLE NIPEKWTPEV KHFCPNVPII LVGNKKDLRN DEHTRRELAK MKQEPVKPEE GRDMANRIGA FGYMECSAKT KDGVREVFEM ATRAALQARR GKKKSGC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RHOA, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
