Rat Regenerating islet-derived protein 3-gamma ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: REG3G ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-REG3G antibody and an REG3G-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with REG3G-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the REG3G concentration since REG3G from samples and REG3G-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-REG3G antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by REG3G from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind REG3G-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The REG3G concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the regenerating islet-derived genes (REG)3 protein family. These proteins are secreted, C-type lectins with a carbohydrate recognition domain and N-terminal signal peptide. The protein encoded by this gene is an antibacterial lectin with activity against Gram-positive bacteria. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms. Product Notes
The Rat REG3G reg3g (Catalog #AAA756017) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA756017 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat REG3G. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Regenerating islet-derived protein 3-gamma, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
