Related Product Information for map reagent
Mycoplasma Removal Agent (MRA) has been developed for cell culture, to combat the widespread problems caused by contamination of cell cultures with mycoplasma.

Mycoplasma Removal Agent is very effective at removing mycoplasma from infected cell cultures. It shows a strong anti-mycoplasma activity against many types of mycoplasma including Mycoplasma orale, M. arginini, M. hyorhinis and Acholeplasma laidlawii. MRA is suitable for use after the removal of mycoplasma, to prevent recontamination of the culture with the original mycoplasma, at preventative doses. MRA can also be used to prevent initial infection of cells in culture by mycoplasma. MRA is non-toxic, and will not interfere with the viability or function of cells in culture.
MRA is very easy to use, simply requiring incubation for a week after addition to cell cultures contaminated by mycoplasma. It should be emphasised that MRA should not be used as a substitute for good cell culture techniques.

Product Notes

The map map (Catalog #AAA635328) is a Reagent and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Mycoplasma Removal Agent, Reagent" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
