Crystalline L-(+)-Lactic Acid Reagent
L-(+)-Lactic Acid - Crystalline Anhydrous
Appearance: Small white flowing crystals
Custom preparations, technical support, bulk quantities and aliquoting available.
Our ultra pure L(+) Lactic Acid - proprietary technology enables us to produce the highest quality crystal(s) in our pure anhydrous lactic acid product. MyBioSource manufactures ultra-pure crystalline L(+)lactic acid in dedicated production space and equipment using proprietary multistage re-crystallization process. Neither genetically engineered organisms (GEO) nor genetically modified organisms (GMO) are used in the manufacturing of our starting commercial lactic acid stock.
Applications: L(+)Lactic Acid Crystalline: Excipient and drug delivery, used by pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide. Note: Use of product is determined by end-user.
Application Details: Used as excipient in pharmaceutical drugs due to its stabilizing effect on proteins and its natural anti-bacterial properties. Lactic acid solutions are buffering in pH range 3.5-4.2, which makes them perfect for elution of antibodies off Protein-A sorbents. In published reports it has been reported that, pure lactic acid is one of the main components for IV resuscitation after blood loss due to trauma, surgery, or a burn injury. It is currently the gold standard test to start and monitor treatment for sepsis patients and also used as an excepient with pharmaceutical companies.
For use in the manufacture of Lactic Acid Blood Tests. This lactic acid test is usually used to see if lactic acid accumulation is causing acidosis (acidotic body state) symptoms.

Product Notes
The Crystalline L-(+)-Lactic Acid (Catalog #AAA173214) is a Reagent and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. Application: Substrate for lactic acid dehydrogenase and lactate oxidase, Research, Pharmaceutical. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Crystalline L-(+)-Lactic Acid for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Crystalline L-(+)-Lactic Acid, Reagent" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
