Tested for uniform gelation and for attachment of and spreading of HT-1080 human fibrosarcoma cells. Negative for the presence of mycoplasma, bacteria and fungi.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4 degree C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

It is a 300kD molecule composed of two alpha 1(I) chains and one alpha2(I) chain that spontaneously forms a triple helix scaffold when at a neutral pH and 37 degree C. This phenomenon can be exploited to promote cell attachment, growth, differentiation, migration, and tissue morphogenesis during development.
