Rat Type-2 angiotensin II receptor, AGTR2 ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
receptor for angiotensin II; vasodilator that regulates many actions in vascular smooth muscle cells and during development [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
AT2: Receptor for angiotensin II. Cooperates with MTUS1 to inhibit ERK2 activation and cell proliferation. Defects in AGTR2 are the cause of mental retardation X- linked type 88 (MRX88). Mental retardation is characterized by significantly below average general intellectual functioning associated with impairments in adaptative behavior and manifested during the developmental period. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR; GPCR, family 1
Cellular Component: perinuclear region of cytoplasm; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; intracellular
Molecular Function: protein binding; angiotensin type II receptor activity; peptide hormone binding; G-protein alpha-subunit binding; transcription factor binding
Biological Process: positive regulation of phosphoprotein phosphatase activity; negative regulation of icosanoid secretion; regulation of transcription factor import into nucleus; negative regulation of heart rate; negative regulation of nerve growth factor receptor signaling pathway; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; renin-angiotensin regulation of aldosterone production; dopamine biosynthetic process; positive regulation of vasodilation; neuron differentiation; angiotensin mediated vasodilation involved in regulation of systemic arterial blood pressure; cerebellar cortex development; cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; regulation of systemic arterial blood pressure by circulatory renin-angiotensin; positive regulation of cell proliferation; negative regulation of neuron apoptosis; kidney development; inflammatory response; cellular sodium ion homeostasis; positive regulation of nitric-oxide synthase activity; response to organic nitrogen; brain renin-angiotensin system; negative regulation of fibroblast proliferation; G-protein signaling, coupled to cGMP nucleotide second messenger; positive regulation of cytokine secretion

Product Notes
The Rat AGTR2 agtr2 (Catalog #AAA2602755) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2602755 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat AGTR2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Type-2 angiotensin II receptor, AGTR2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
