Intended Use: The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm using a spectrophotometer. In order to measure the concentration ofRat Thioredoxin2 in the sample, This Rat Thioredoxin2 Kit includes a set of calibration standards. The calibration standards are assayed at the same time as the samples and allow the operator to produce a standard curve of Optical Density versusRat Thioredoxin2 concentration. The concentration ofRat Thioredoxin2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This nuclear gene encodes a mitochondrial member of the thioredoxin family, a group of small multifunctional redox-active proteins. The encoded protein may play important roles in the regulation of the mitochondrial membrane potential and in protection against oxidant-induced apoptosis. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

TXN2: Has an anti-apoptotic function and plays an important role in the regulation of mitochondrial membrane potential. Could be involved in the resistance to anti-tumor agents. Possesses a dithiol-reducing activity. Belongs to the thioredoxin family.

Product Notes

The Rat TXN2 txn2 (Catalog #AAA3809598) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA3809598 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat TXN2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thioredoxin2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
