Rat Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 ELISA Kit | PDCD1 elisa kit
Rat Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Rat PDCD1/PD1 antibody. PDCD1/PD1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat PDCD1/PD1 Antibody is added and binds to PDCD1/PD1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PDCD1/PD1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat PDCD1/PD1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a cell surface membrane protein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. This protein is expressed in pro-B-cells and is thought to play a role in their differentiation. In mice, expression of this gene is induced in the thymus when anti-CD3 antibodies are injected and large numbers of thymocytes undergo apoptosis. Mice deficient for this gene bred on a BALB/c background developed dilated cardiomyopathy and died from congestive heart failure. These studies suggest that this gene product may also be important in T cell function and contribute to the prevention of autoimmune diseases. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Inhibitory cell surface receptor involved in the regulation of T-cell function during immunity and tolerance. Upon ligand binding, inhibits T-cell effector functions in an antigen-specific manner. Possible cell death inducer, in association with other factors.

Product Notes
The Rat PDCD1 pdcd1 (Catalog #AAA1603449) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1603449 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat PDCD1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Programmed Cell Death Protein 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
