Related Product Information for AMY2A elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Rat Oxidized low-density Lipoprotein Receptor 1 (also known as OLR1/LOX1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Rat OLR1/LOX1 antibody. OLR1/LOX1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat OLR1/LOX1 Antibody is added and binds to OLR1/LOX1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated OLR1/LOX1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat OLR1/LOX1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the alpha-amylase family of proteins. Amylases are secreted proteins that hydrolyze 1,4-alpha-glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, catalyzing the first step in digestion of dietary starch and glycogen. This gene and several family members are present in a gene cluster on chromosome 1. This gene encodes an amylase isoenzyme produced by the pancreas. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2015]

Uniprot Description

AMY2A: Amylases are secreted proteins that hydrolyze 1,4-alpha-glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, and thus catalyze the first step in digestion of dietary starch and glycogen. The human genome has a cluster of several amylase genes that are expressed at high levels in either salivary gland or pancreas. This gene encodes an amylase isoenzyme produced by the pancreas. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Rat AMY2A amy2a (Catalog #AAA1603447) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1603447 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat AMY2A. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Pancreatic Alpha-amylase, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
