Rat
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Rat HSP-27. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Rat HSP-27 and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Rat HSP-27 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Related Product Information for HSP-27 elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of HSP-27 in Rat serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat HSP-27. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat HSP-27 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat HSP-27, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat HSP-27. You can calculate the concentration of Rat HSP-27 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is induced by environmental stress and developmental changes. The encoded protein is involved in stress resistance and actin organization and translocates from the cytoplasm to the nucleus upon stress induction. Defects in this gene are a cause of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2F (CMT2F) and distal hereditary motor neuropathy (dHMN). [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]

Uniprot Description

HSP27: a small heat shock protein that is regulated both transcriptionally and posttranslationally. Modulates actin polymerization and reorganization. Its expression level increases several-fold in response to stress and is phosphorylated by MAPKAP kinase 2. Cytoplasmic in interphase cells. Colocalizes with mitotic spindles in mitotic cells. Translocates to the nucleus during heat shock.

Product Notes

The Rat HSP-27 hspb1 (Catalog #AAA2504411) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2504411 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat HSP-27. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HSP-27, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
