Reactivity
Rat
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Rat GCLM. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Rat GCLM and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Rat GCLM and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Related Product Information for GCLM elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of GCLM in Rat serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat GCLM. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat GCLM and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat GCLM, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat GCLM. You can calculate the concentration of Rat GCLM in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

Glutamate-cysteine ligase, also known as gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase, is the first rate limiting enzyme of glutathione synthesis. The enzyme consists of two subunits, a heavy catalytic subunit and a light regulatory subunit. Gamma glutamylcysteine synthetase deficiency has been implicated in some forms of hemolytic anemia. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Rat GCLM gclm (Catalog #AAA2501273) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2501273 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat GCLM. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GCLM, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
