Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for DBP elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to D Site Of Albumin Promoter Binding Protein (DBP). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to D Site Of Albumin Promoter Binding Protein (DBP). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain D Site Of Albumin Promoter Binding Protein (DBP), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of D Site Of Albumin Promoter Binding Protein (DBP) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the PAR bZIP transcription factor family and binds to specific sequences in the promoters of several genes, such as albumin, CYP2A4, and CYP2A5. The encoded protein can bind DNA as a homo- or heterodimer and is involved in the regulation of some circadian rhythm genes. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]

Uniprot Description

DBP: This transcriptional activator recognizes and binds to the sequence 5'-RTTAYGTAAY-3' found in the promoter of genes such as albumin, CYP2A4 and CYP2A5. It is not essential for circadian rhythm generation, but modulates important clock output genes. May be a direct target for regulation by the circadian pacemaker component clock. May affect circadian period and sleep regulation. Belongs to the bZIP family. PAR subfamily.

Protein type: Transcription factor; DNA-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.3

Cellular Component: nucleus

Biological Process: regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; circadian rhythm; transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; liver development

Product Notes

The Rat DBP dbp (Catalog #AAA2024598) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2024598 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat DBP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "D Site Of Albumin Promoter Binding Protein (DBP), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
