Rat ATPase inhibitor, mitochondrial (ATPIF1) ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a mitochondrial ATPase inhibitor. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and three transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
ATPIF1: Endogenous F(1)F(o)-ATPase inhibitor limiting ATP depletion when the mitochondrial membrane potential falls below a threshold and the F(1)F(o)-ATP synthase starts hydrolyzing ATP to pump protons out of the mitochondrial matrix. Homodimer at a pH value below 6.5, inactive homotetramer above. Belongs to the ATPase inhibitor family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Inhibitor; Mitochondrial
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p35.3
Cellular Component: cell surface; mitochondrion; mitochondrial proton-transporting ATP synthase complex
Molecular Function: enzyme inhibitor activity; calmodulin binding; angiostatin binding; protein homodimerization activity; ATPase inhibitor activity; ATPase binding

Product Notes
The Rat ATPIF1 atpif1 (Catalog #AAA7239353) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7239353 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat ATPIF1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATPase inhibitor, mitochondrial (ATPIF1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
