Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for AQP2 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Aquaporin 2, Collecting Duct (AQP2). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Aquaporin 2, Collecting Duct (AQP2). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Aquaporin 2, Collecting Duct (AQP2), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Aquaporin 2, Collecting Duct (AQP2) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a water channel protein located in the kidney collecting tubule. It belongs to the MIP/aquaporin family, some members of which are clustered together on chromosome 12q13. Mutations in this gene have been linked to autosomal dominant and recessive forms of nephrogenic diabetes insipidus. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]

Uniprot Description

AQP2: Forms a water-specific channel that provides the plasma membranes of renal collecting duct with high permeability to water, thereby permitting water to move in the direction of an osmotic gradient. Expressed in renal collecting tubules. Belongs to the MIP/aquaporin (TC 1.A.8) family.

Product Notes

The Rat AQP2 aqp2 (Catalog #AAA2019575) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2019575 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat AQP2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Aquaporin 2, Collecting Duct (AQP2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
