Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for EG-VEGF clia kit
The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Endocrine Gland Derived Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (EG-VEGF). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Endocrine Gland Derived Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (EG-VEGF). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is proportional to the Endocrine Gland Derived Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (EG-VEGF) level in the sample or standard.;

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene induces proliferation, migration, and fenestration (the formation of membrane discontinuities) in capillary endothelial cells derived from endocrine glands. It has little or no effect on a variety of other endothelial and non-endothelial cell types. Its expression is restricted to the steroidogenic glands (ovary, testis, adrenal, and placenta), is induced by hypoxia, and often complementary to the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), suggesting that these molecules function in a coordinated manner. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]

Uniprot Description

PROK1: Potently contracts gastrointestinal (GI) smooth muscle. Induces proliferation, migration and fenestration (the formation of membrane discontinuities) in capillary endothelial cells derived from endocrine glands. Has little or no effect on a variety of other endothelial and non-endothelial cell types. Induces proliferation and differentiation, but not migration, of enteric neural crest cells. Directly influences neuroblastoma progression by promoting the proliferation and migration of neuroblastoma cells. Positively regulates PTGS2 expression and prostaglandin synthesis. May play a role in placentation. May play a role in normal and pathological testis angiogenesis. Belongs to the AVIT (prokineticin) family.

Protein type: Secreted; Cell cycle regulation; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p21

Cellular Component: extracellular region

Molecular Function: growth factor activity

Product Notes

The Rat EG-VEGF prok1 (Catalog #AAA2000708) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2000708 CLIA Kit recognizes Rat EG-VEGF. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Endocrine Gland Derived Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (EG-VEGF), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
