NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family, and is most closely related to mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAP kinases). MAP kinases also known as extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), are activated through protein phosphorylation cascades and act as integration points for multiple biochemical signals. This kinase is localized in the nucleus, and has been reported to be activated in fibroblasts upon treatment with serum or phorbol esters. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The ERK3 mapk6 (Catalog #AAA004547) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit ERK3 (Phospho-Ser189) Antibody reacts with Human, mouse, rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ERK3 (Phospho-Ser189) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500~1:1000 IHC: 1:50~1:100 ELISA: 1:5000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ERK3 mapk6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ERK3 (Phospho-Ser189), Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
