Related Product Information for anti-CO1A1 antibody
Type I Collagen usually exists as a heterotrimer formed by alpha 1(I) and alpha 2(I) chains and is found in bone, cornea, skin and tendon. In foetal tissues also homotrimers of alpha-1(I) are found, but they are not constituents of normal adult tissues. Collagens consist of a family of highly specialized glycoproteins of which at least 16 genetically distinct types are known to date. The basal unit of a collagen molecule consists of a triple-helical structure formed by 3 alpha-chains. Predominant amino acids are glycine, proline and hydroxproline. Regularly also lysines and hydroxylysines occur, which are responsible for cross-linkage and glycosylation of the protein chains. Different composition of alpha-chains and different glycosylation contribute to the high variability of collagens in different tissues and organs. Salmon (Salmon salar) Collagen type I.

Product Notes

The Collagen Type I co1a1 (Catalog #AAA397119) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Collagen Type I, salmon reacts with Salmon, Sole, Tunafish collagen I (<0.4), Goldfish collagen I (<0.2), Mammalian, Avian collagen type I (<0.2) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Collagen Type I can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Immunofluorescence (IF), ELISA (EIA), Radioimmunoassay (RIA). IF: 1:40 IHC-P: 1:500 ELISA: 1:100-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Collagen Type I co1a1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Collagen Type I, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
