Rat Glycogen phosphorylase, liver form ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
catalyzes the rate-limiting step of glycogen catabolism [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
PYGL: Phosphorylase is an important allosteric enzyme in carbohydrate metabolism. Enzymes from different sources differ in their regulatory mechanisms and in their natural substrates. However, all known phosphorylases share catalytic and structural properties. Defects in PYGL are the cause of glycogen storage disease type 6 (GSD6). A metabolic disorder characterized by mild to moderate hypoglycemia, mild ketosis, growth retardation, and prominent hepatomegaly. Heart and skeletal muscle are not affected. Belongs to the glycogen phosphorylase family.

Product Notes
The Rat Pygl pygl (Catalog #AAA2883411) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2883411 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat Pygl. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glycogen phosphorylase, liver form, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
