Immunogen, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot (WB)
Buffer Formulation
PBS, pH7.4.
Organism Species
Human
Usage
Reconstitute in PBS (pH7.4) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Do not vortex.
Preparation and Storage
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8 degree C for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months.
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

This protein is expressed by in vitro differentiated macrophages but not freshly isolated monocytes. Although sequence analysis identifies seven potential transmembrane domains, this protein has little homology to G-protein receptors and it has not been positively identified as a receptor. A suggested alternative function is that of an ion channel protein in maturing macrophages. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

MMD: Involved in the dynamics of lysosomal membranes associated with microglial activation following brain lesion. Belongs to the ADIPOR family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, misc.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q22

Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; integral to plasma membrane; membrane

Molecular Function: protein kinase activity; receptor activity

Biological Process: positive regulation of neuron differentiation; positive regulation of protein kinase activity; regulation of protein localization

Product Notes

The MMA mmd (Catalog #AAA2086472) is a Small Molecule produced from Protein Conjugation and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Monocyte To Macrophage Differentiation Associated Protein (MMA) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunogen, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MMA mmd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Monocyte To Macrophage Differentiation Associated Protein (MMA), Small Molecule" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
