IBP160 positive control
IBP160 Antibody Positive Control
Intron-binding spliceosomal protein required to link pre-mRNA splicing and snoRNP biogenesis
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
AQR: Intron-binding spliceosomal protein required to link pre-mRNA splicing and snoRNP (small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein) biogenesis. Plays a key role in position-dependent assembly of intron-encoded box C/D small snoRNP, splicing being required for snoRNP assembly. May act by helping the folding of the snoRNA sequence. Binds to intron of pre-mRNAs in a sequence-independent manner, contacting the region between snoRNA and the branchpoint of introns (40 nucleotides upstream of the branchpoint) during the late stages of splicing. Belongs to the CWF11 family.
Protein type: RNA-binding; Spliceosome; RNA splicing
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 15q14
Cellular Component: membrane; nucleoplasm
Molecular Function: protein binding
Biological Process: nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome; transcription-coupled nucleotide-excision repair

Product Notes
The IBP160 aqr (Catalog #AAA542543) is a Positive Control and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's IBP160 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IBP160 aqr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IBP160, Positive Control" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
