Related Product Information for anti-ZNF41 antibody
This gene product is a likely zinc finger family transcription factor. It contains KRAB-A and KRAB-B domains that act as transcriptional repressors in related proteins, and multiple zinc finger DNA binding motifs and finger linking regions characteristic of the Kruppel family. This gene is part of a gene cluster on chromosome Xp11.23. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, however, the full-length nature of only some of them is known.

Uniprot Description

ZNF41: May be involved in transcriptional regulation. Defects in ZNF41 are the cause of mental retardation X- linked type 89 (MRX89). Mental retardation is characterized by significantly sub-average general intellectual functioning associated with impairments in adaptative behavior and manifested during the developmental period. Non-syndromic mental retardation patients do not manifest other clinical signs. A chromosomal aberration involving ZNF41 has been found in a patient with sever mental retardation. Translocation t(X;7)(p11.3;q11.21). Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: DNA-binding; C2H2-type zinc finger protein

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp11.23

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: DNA binding; metal ion binding; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; transcription, DNA-dependent

Product Notes

The ZNF41 znf41 (Catalog #AAA6011994) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ZNF41, NT (ZNF41, Zinc finger protein 41) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ZNF41 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ZNF41 znf41 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ZNF41, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
