ELISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of YBX1(arrow) using rabbit polyclonal YBX1 Antibody (C-term). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the YBX1 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).)
Western Blot (WB)
(YBX1 Antibody (C-term) western blot analysis in 293 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the YBX1 antibody detected the YBX1 protein (arrow).)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Fluorescent confocal image of U251 cell stained with YBX1 Antibody (C-term).U251 cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10 min), then incubated with YBX1 primary antibody (1:25, 1 h at 37 degree C). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:400, 50 min at 37 degree C).Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (7units/ml, 1 h at 37 degree C). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue) (10 ug/ml, 10 min). YBX1 immunoreactivity is localized to Cytoplasm significantly.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a highly conserved cold shock domain protein that has broad nucleic acid binding properties. The encoded protein functions as both a DNA and RNA binding protein and has been implicated in numerous cellular processes including regulation of transcription and translation, pre-mRNA splicing, DNA reparation and mRNA packaging. This protein is also a component of messenger ribonucleoprotein (mRNP) complexes and may have a role in microRNA processing. This protein can be secreted through non-classical pathways and functions as an extracellular mitogen. Aberrant expression of the gene is associated with cancer proliferation in numerous tissues. This gene may be a prognostic marker for poor outcome and drug resistance in certain cancers. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on multiple chromosomes. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]
Uniprot Description
YB-1: a nuclear protein that binds to splice sites in pre-mRNA and regulates splice site selection. Binds and stabilizes cytoplasmic mRNA. Contributes to the regulation of translation by modulating the interaction between the mRNA and eukaryotic initiation factors CCAAT-containing Y-box of HLA class II genes. Component of cytoplasmic messenger ribonucleoprotein particles (mRNPs). Interacts with AKT1, SFRS9, THOC4, MSH2, XRCC5, WRN and NCL. Can bind to DNA as a homomeric form, (EFI-A)n or as a heteromeric form in association with EFI-B. Homodimer in the presence of ATP. Involved in cisplatin resistance. Seems to be a negative regulatory factor. May play a role in both transcriptional and translational regulation of spermatogenesis. Found at very low levels at day 10 and levels increase at day 15 and persist throughout adulthood.

Product Notes
The YBOX1 ybx1 (Catalog #AAA6506345) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The YBOX1, CT (Nuclease-sensitive Element-binding Protein 1, Y-box-binding Protein 1, Y-box Transcription Factor, YB-1, CCAAT-binding, Transcription Factor I Subunit A, CBF-A, Enhancer Factor I Subunit A, EFI-A, DNA-binding Protein B, DBPB, YBX1, NSEP1, YB1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's YBOX1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:50-1:100 ELISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the YBOX1 ybx1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "YBOX1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
