Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

The WW and C2 domain containing 1 (WWC1) gene encodes a protein named WWC1 (or KIBRA). The scaffolding protein WWC1 is involved in the regulation of important intracellular transport processes and the establishment of cell polarity. Furthermore, KIBRA/WWC1 is an upstream regulator of the Hippo signaling pathway that controls cell proliferation and organ size in animals. KIBRA/WWC1 represents only one member of the WWC protein family that also includes the highly similar proteins WWC2 and WWC3. WWC1 is often lost in triple-negative breast cancer and has been shown to suppress tumor metastasis. Low WWC1 expression was associated with aggressive breast cancer and poor survival outcomes. Alterations of Kibra-encoding gene WWC1 cause various neuronal disorders, including Alzheimer's disease and Tourette syndrome.
