NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein belonging to ubiE/COQ5 methyltransferase family. The gene is deleted in Williams syndrome, a multisystem developmental disorder caused by the deletion of contiguous genes at 7q11.22-q11.23. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

WBSCR27: WBSCR27 is located in the Williams-Beuren syndrome (WBS) critical region. WBS results from a hemizygous deletion of several genes on chromosome 7q11.23, thought to arise as a consequence of unequal crossing over between highly homologous low-copy repeat sequences flanking the deleted region. Haploinsufficiency of WBSCR27 may be the cause of certain cardiovascular and musculo-skeletal abnormalities observed in the disease.

Protein type: Methyltransferase; Methyltransferase, protein arginine, predicted

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7q11.23

Product Notes

The WBSCR27 wbscr27 (Catalog #AAA6363076) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The WBSCR27, NT (WBSCR27, Williams-Beuren syndrome chromosomal region 27 protein) (MaxLight 405) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's WBSCR27 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-100 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the WBSCR27 wbscr27 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WBSCR27, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
