Rabbit anti-Human Urotensin II Polyclonal Antibody | anti-UII antibody
Urotensin II, NT (UII) (MaxLight 650)
FLISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(UTS2 Antibody (N-term) western blot analysis in WiDr cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the UTS2 antibody detected the UTS2 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(UTS2 Antibody (N-term) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human brain tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of UTS2 Antibody (N-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(UTS2 Antibody (N-term) flow cytometric analysis of WiDr cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a mature peptide that is an active cyclic heptapeptide absolutely conserved from lamprey to human. The active peptide acts as a vasoconstrictor and is expressed only in brain tissue. Despite the gene family name similarity, this gene is not homologous to urocortin, a member of the sauvagine/corticotropin-releasing factor/urotensin I family. Most of the proprotein is cleaved to make the mature peptide. Transcript variants encoding different preproprotein isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
UTS2: Highly potent vasoconstrictor. Belongs to the urotensin-2 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The UII uts2 (Catalog #AAA6504922) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Urotensin II, NT (UII) (MaxLight 650) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Urotensin II can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA. IHC: 1:10-1:50 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the UII uts2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Urotensin II, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
