Related Product Information for anti-CMPK1 antibody
UCK1 (Uridine-cytidine kinase 1) phosphorylates uridine and cytidine to uridine monophosphate and cytidine monophosphate. This enzyme does not phosphorylate deoxyribonucleosides or purine ribonucleosides. Of note, UCK1 is able to use either ATP or GTP as a phosphate donor. UCK1 also possesses the ability to phosphorylate a number of cytidine and uridine nucleoside analogs such as 6-azauridine, 5-fluorouridine, 4-thiouridine, 5-bromouridine, N(4)-acetylcytidine, N(4)-benzoylcytidine, 5-fluorocytidine, 2-thiocytidine, 5-methylcytidine, and N(4)-anisoylcytidine.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes one of the enzymes required for cellular nucleic acid biosynthesis. This enzyme catalyzes the transfer of a phosphate group from ATP to CMP, UMP, or dCMP, to form the corresponding diphosphate nucleotide. Alternate splicing results in both coding and non-coding transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]

Uniprot Description

CMPK: Catalyzes specific phosphoryl transfer from ATP to UMP and CMP. Belongs to the adenylate kinase family.

Product Notes

The CMPK1 cmpk1 (Catalog #AAA9208024) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 18-48. The UCK Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human, mouse (Predicted Reactivity: Bovine, Pig, Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's UCK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CMPK1 cmpk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "UCK, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
