Rabbit anti-Mouse, Human UCHL1 / PGP9.5 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-UCHL1 / PGP9.5 antibody
Anti-UCHL1 / PGP9.5 Antibody (aa193-223) IHC-plus
IHC-P (5 ug/ml)
WB (1:1000)
For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Anti-UCHL1 / PGP9.5 antibody IHC staining of human brain, cerebellum. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Fluorescent image of U251 cell stained with UCHL1 Antibody. U251 cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10 min), then incubated with UCHL1 primary antibody (1:25, 1 h at 37°C). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:400, 50 min at 37°C). Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (7units/ml, 1 h at 37°C). UCHL1 immunoreactivity is localized to Cytoplasm and Nucleus significantly.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot of lysates from SH-SY5Y cell line and mouse brain tissue (from left to right),using UCHL1 Antibody. Antibody was diluted at 1:1000 at each lane. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) at 1:5000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.Lysates at 35ug per lane.)
Western Blot (WB)
(UCHL1 Antibody western blot of U266,NCI-H1299,mouse Neuro-2a cell line and mouse brain tissue lysates (35 ug/lane). The UCHL1 antibody detected the UCHL1 protein (arrow).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the peptidase C12 family. This enzyme is a thiol protease that hydrolyzes a peptide bond at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. This gene is specifically expressed in the neurons and in cells of the diffuse neuroendocrine system. Mutations in this gene may be associated with Parkinson disease.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]
Uniprot Description
UCHL1: Ubiquitin-protein hydrolase involved both in the processing of ubiquitin precursors and of ubiquitinated proteins. This enzyme is a thiol protease that recognizes and hydrolyzes a peptide bond at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. Also binds to free monoubiquitin and may prevent its degradation in lysosomes. The homodimer may have ATP-independent ubiquitin ligase activity. Monomer. Homodimer. Interacts with SNCA. Interacts with COPS5. Found in neuronal cell bodies and processes throughout the neocortex. Expressed in neurons and cells of the diffuse neuroendocrine system and their tumors. Weakly expressed in ovary. Down-regulated in brains from Parkinson disease and Alzheimer disease patients. Belongs to the peptidase C12 family.

Product Notes
The UCHL1 / PGP9.5 uchl1 (Catalog #AAA2400072) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-UCHL1 / PGP9.5 Antibody (aa193-223) IHC-plus reacts with Mouse, Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's UCHL1 / PGP9.5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB). IF (1:10 - 1:50) IHC-P (5 ug/ml) WB (1:1000). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the UCHL1 / PGP9.5 uchl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "UCHL1 / PGP9.5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
