Rabbit anti-Human Tuberin (TSC2) Polyclonal Antibody | anti-TSC2 antibody
Tuberin (TSC2) Antibody (S1798)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of lysates from PC-3, LNCaP, Hela cell line (from left to right), using Tuberin (TSC2) Antibody. MBS9211633 was diluted at 1:1000 at each lane. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:5000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Lysates at 35ug per lane.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of lysates from SH-SY5Y, MCF-7, PC-3, LNCaP, Hela, cell line (from left to right), using Tuberin (TSC2) Antibody. MBS9211633 was diluted at 1:1000 at each lane. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:5000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Lysates at 35ug per lane.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Fluorescent confocal image of Hela cell stained with Tuberin (TSC2) Antibody (S1798). Hela cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10 min), then incubated with Tuberin (TSC2) primary antibody (1:25, 1 h at 37 degree). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:400, 50 min at 37 degree).Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (7units/ml, 1 h at 37 degree). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue) (10 ug/ml, 10 min).Tuberin (TSC2) immunoreactivity is localized to Cytoplasm significantly.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of TSC2-pS1798 in Ramos cell line lysates (35ug/lane). TSC2 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with TSC2 Antibody (S1798) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Mutations in this gene lead to tuberous sclerosis complex. Its gene product is believed to be a tumor suppressor and is able to stimulate specific GTPases. The protein associates with hamartin in a cytosolic complex, possibly acting as a chaperone for hamartin. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
TSC2: a product of the tumor suppressor gene TSC2. Tuberin and Hamartin (TSC1) form a tumor suppressor heterodimer that inhibits the mTOR nutrient signaling input. TSC1/TSC2 targets the small G protein Rheb, a novel mediator of the nutrient signaling input to mTOR. Functions as a Rheb GTPase activating protein (GAP). Four alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The TSC2 tsc2 (Catalog #AAA9211633) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 1776-1805. The Tuberin (TSC2) Antibody (S1798) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Tuberin (TSC2) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TSC2 tsc2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tuberin (TSC2), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
