Related Product Information for anti-TRPC4AP antibody
TRPC4AP (transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily C, member 4 associated protein), also known as TRUSS or TRRP4AP, is a 797 amino acid protein that is expressed in a variety of tissues, with highest expression in liver, heart, testis and brain. Thought to function as a scaffolding protein, TRPC4AP interacts with TNF-R1 and may both link TNF-R1 to the IKK signalsome complex, and participate in the activation of NFκ B p50, an event that occurs in response to TNF-R1 ligation. TRPC4AP exists as multiple alternatively spliced isoformsthat are encoded by a gene which maps to human chromosome 20. Comprising approximately 2% of the human genome, chromosome 20 contains nearly 63 million bases that encode over 600 genes, some of which are associated with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, spinal muscular atrophy, ring chromosome 20 epilepsy syndrome and Alagille syndrome.

Uniprot Description

TRPC4AP: Substrate-specific adapter of a DCX (DDB1-CUL4-X-box) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex required for cell cycle control. The DCX(TRUSS) complex specifically mediates the polyubiquitination and subsequent degradation of MYC. Also participates in the activation of NFKB1 in response to ligation of TNFRSF1A, possibly by linking TNFRSF1A to the IKK signalosome. Involved in JNK activation via its interaction with TRAF2. Also involved in elevation of endoplasmic reticulum Ca(2+) storage reduction in response to CHRM1. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20q11.22

Cellular Component: plasma membrane

Molecular Function: calcium channel activity; phosphatase binding; protein binding

Biological Process: protein ubiquitination; ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process

Product Notes

The TRPC4AP trpc4ap (Catalog #AAA9416082) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TRPC4AP Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TRPC4AP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRPC4AP trpc4ap for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRPC4AP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
