Related Product Information for anti-TRIB3 antibody
Disrupts insulin signaling by binding directly to Akt kinases and blocking their activation. May bind directly to and mask the 'Thr-308' phosphorylation site in AKT1. Binds to ATF4 and inhibits its transcriptional activation activity. Interacts with the NF-kappa-B transactivator p65 RELA and inhibits its phosphorylation and thus its transcriptional activation activity. Interacts with MAPK kinases and regulates activation of MAP kinases. May play a role in programmed neuronal cell death but does not appear to affect non-neuronal cells. Does not display kinase activity. Inhibits the transcriptional activity of DDIT3/CHOP and is involved in DDIT3/CHOP-dependent cell death during ER stress. Can inhibit APOBEC3A editing of nuclear DNA.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a putative protein kinase that is induced by the transcription factor NF-kappaB. The encoded protein is a negative regulator of NF-kappaB and can also sensitize cells to TNF- and TRAIL-induced apoptosis. In addition, this protein can negatively regulate the cell survival serine-threonine kinase AKT1. Differential promoter usage and alternate splicing result in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]

Uniprot Description

TRB3: a Ca(2)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase of the Trbl family. Induced by the transcription factor NF-kappaB. The encoded protein is a negative regulator of NF-kappaB and can also sensitize cells to TNF- and TRAIL-induced apoptosis. May negatively regulate the cell survival kinase AKT1.

Product Notes

The TRIB3 trib3 (Catalog #AAA7050902) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TRIB3 Antibody, Biotin conjugated reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TRIB3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRIB3 trib3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRIB3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
