Tryptases comprise a family of trypsin-like serine
proteases, the peptidase family S1. Tryptases are enzymatically
active only as heparin-stabilized tetramers, and they are resistant
to all known endogenous proteinase inhibitors. Several tryptase
genes are clustered on chromosome 16p13.3. These genes are
characterized by several distinct features. They have a highly
conserved 3' UTR and contain tandem repeat sequences at the 5'
flank and 3' UTR which are thought to play a role in regulation of
the mRNA stability. Although this gene may be an exception, most of
the tryptase genes have an intron immediately upstream of the
initiator Met codon, which separates the site of transcription
initiation from protein coding sequence. This feature is
characteristic of tryptases but is unusual in other genes.
Tryptases have been implicated as mediators in the pathogenesis of
asthma and other allergic and inflammatory disorders. TPSD1 was
once considered to be a pseudogene, although it is now believed to
be a functional gene that encodes a protein.

Product Notes

The TPSD1 tpsd1 (Catalog #AAA9201886) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 164-193. The TPSD1 Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TPSD1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TPSD1 tpsd1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TPSD1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
