Related Product Information for anti-TLR1 antibody
Description: Toll-like receptor 1 (TLR1), also called TIL or CD281 is a member of the Toll-like receptor family (TLR) of pattern recognition receptors of the innate immune system. This gene is mapped to 4p14 by fluorescence in situ hybridization. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. This gene is ubiquitously expressed, and at higher levels than other TLR genes. Different length transcripts presumably resulting from use of alternative polyadenylation site, and/or from alternative splicing, have been noted for this gene.
Protein Function: Participates in the innate immune response to microbial agents. Specifically recognizes diacylated and triacylated lipopeptides. Cooperates with TLR2 to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipoproteins or lipopeptides (PubMed: 21078852). Forms the activation cluster TLR2: TLR1: CD14 in response to triacylated lipopeptides, this cluster triggers signaling from the cell surface and subsequently is targeted to the Golgi in a lipid-raft dependent pathway (PubMed: 16880211). Acts via MYD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

The Anti-TLR1 Picoband antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat No cross reactivity with other proteins. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TLR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Western Blot (WB). WB: 0.1-0.5mug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Section): 0.5-1mug/ml Immunohistochemistry(Frozen Section): 0.5-1mug/ml ICC: 0.5-1mug/ml FC/FACS: 1-3g/1x10 6 cells Direct ELISA: 0.1-0.5mug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TLR1 tlr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TLR1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
