NCBI Description

Transglutaminases (TGM; EC 2.3.2.13) are a family of structurally and functionally related enzymes that stabilize protein assemblies through the formation of gamma-glutamyl-epsilon lysine crosslinks. For additional background information on transglutaminases, see TGM1 (MIM 190195).[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2002]

Uniprot Description

TGM7: an enzyme of the transglutaminase family that catalyzes the crosslinking of proteins and the conjugation of polyamines to proteins. While the primary structure of transglutaminases is not conserved, they all have the same amino acid sequence at their active sites and their activity is calcium-dependent.

Protein type: Transferase; EC 2.3.2.13

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 15q15.2

Molecular Function: protein-glutamine gamma-glutamyltransferase activity; metal ion binding

Biological Process: peptide cross-linking

Product Notes

The TGM7 tgm7 (Catalog #AAA3209273) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TGM7 antibody - C-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Pig, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TGM7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TGM7 tgm7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: TQKPFWRHTV RMNLDFGKET QWPLLLPYSN YRNKLTDEKL IRVSGIAEVE. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TGM7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
