NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein that binds to transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) receptors and plays a role in TGF-beta signaling. The encoded protein acts as a chaprone in signaling downstream of TGF-beta. It is involved in signal-dependent association with SMAD4. The protein is also a component of mammalian CORVET, a multisubunit tethering protein complex that is involved in fusion of early endosomes. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2016]
Uniprot Description
TGFBRAP1: Plays a role in the TGF-beta/activin signaling pathway. It associates with inactive heteromeric TGF-beta and activin receptor complexes, mainly through the type II receptor, and is released upon activation of signaling. May recruit SMAD4 to the vicinity of the receptor complex and facilitate its interaction with receptor-regulated Smads, such as SMAD2. Belongs to the TRAP1 family.

Product Notes
The TGFBRAP1 tgfbrap1 (Catalog #AAA6355221) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TGFBRAP1, CT (TGFBRAP1, Transforming growth factor-beta receptor-associated protein 1) (Azide free) (HRP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TGFBRAP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-50 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TGFBRAP1 tgfbrap1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TGFBRAP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
