Store product at 4 degree C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable at -20 degree C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that functions as an S-phase checkpoint protein in the cell cycle. The protein may also play a role in DNA repair.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]

Uniprot Description

TELO2: Regulator of the DNA damage response (DDR). Part of the TTT complex that is required to stabilize protein levels of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-related protein kinase (PIKK) family proteins. The TTT complex is involved in the cellular resistance to DNA damage stresses, like ionizing radiation (IR), ultraviolet (UV) and mitomycin C (MMC). Together with the TTT complex and HSP90 may participate in the proper folding of newly synthesized PIKKs. Promotes assembly, stabilizes and maintains the activity of mTORC1 and mTORC2 complexes, which regulate cell growth and survival in response to nutrient and hormonal signals. May be involved in telomere length regulation. Component of the TTT complex composed of TELO2, TTI1 and TTI2. Interacts with ATM, ATR, MTOR, PRKDC, RUVBL2, TTI1, TTI2, SMG1 and TRRAP. Belongs to the TEL2 family.

Product Notes

The TELO2 telo2 (Catalog #AAA6354803) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TELO2, CT (TELO2, KIAA0683, Telomere length regulation protein TEL2 homolog, Protein clk-2 homolog) (Azide free) (HRP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TELO2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-100 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TELO2 telo2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TELO2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
