NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a cytoskeletal protein that is concentrated in areas of cell-substratum and cell-cell contacts. The encoded protein plays a significant role in the assembly of actin filaments and in spreading and migration of various cell types, including fibroblasts and osteoclasts. It codistributes with integrins in the cell surface membrane in order to assist in the attachment of adherent cells to extracellular matrices and of lymphocytes to other cells. The N-terminus of this protein contains elements for localization to cell-extracellular matrix junctions. The C-terminus contains binding sites for proteins such as beta-1-integrin, actin, and vinculin. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]

Product Notes
The TLN1 tln1 (Catalog #AAA6008054) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Talin, phosphorylated (Ser425) (TLN, Talin 1, Talin-1, TLN1, ILWEQ, KIAA1027) reacts with Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Talin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4 degree C with gentle shaking, overnight. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TLN1 tln1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Talin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
